Thomas, you glorious bastard.

A little over two years ago, the person I thought was my very best friend, died. We went through absolutely everything together. The happy times. The sad times. But then, out of nowhere, he vanished. He was no longer my best friend. I no longer relied on him for happiness. I thought that if I ever lost him, it would tear me apart. That I would die from sadness alone. I thought there would be no point to living without him there with me.

Through his not-so-literal death, I have become the person I am today. I have grown in ways I didn't know were possible. I am even happier now, without him, than I was with him. Funny, eh?
